This rare emergency money was issued by the Spanish nationalists in 1938.

At the end of the Spanish Civil War it became more and more difficult to get the necessary metal for coins and so stamps were glued on strong cardboard to provide an alternative for the required coins.

The obverse of the “coin” shows the coat of arms of the second Spanish Republic, which existed from 1931 to 1939.

A 15 Centimos stamp was glued on the reverse to represent the denomination.
