The 4th May 2004 marked the end of an era in aviation history as the last ever Concorde to be built was formally deregistered as a commercial aeroplane.
The G-BOAF 216 aircraft was an icon of the British Airways fleet.
After 5,639 supersonic flights, 216 made the final fight of all the Concorde fleet and closed the chapter on supersonic air travel after taking off on Wednesday 26th November 2003, to fly from Heathrow to Filton.
Interestingly Concorde 216 was the last of the Concordes to be built, and the last aircraft to be built at Filton, the oldest aircraft factory in the world.
Celebrate an aviation milestone with this unique coin commemorating the 20th anniversary of the last Concorde to grace the British skies.
