World War II - 20 Original Coins

This exceptional collection recalls the most far-reaching event of the 20th century.

The attack on Poland on 1st September 1939 led to the inception of the Second World War in Europe. The war in Asia had already been raging at this stage since 7th July 1937. Following 6 long years of war, the weapons throughout Europe were silenced on 8th May 1945. The struggle in Asia persisted up to the surrender of Japan on 2nd September 1945.

This collection consists of 20 expertly-chosen coins which were issued during the years of the Second World War. It includes coins from Australia, Belgium, Bohemia & Moravia, British India, Canada, France, France (Vichy), French Indochina and Germany. This remarkable collection is complemented by coins from Hungary, Italy, Japan, Manchoukuo, the Netherlands, Netherlands East-Indies, the USSR, Serbia, Tunisia, the United Kingdom as well as the United States of America.
