Church of England Gold-Plated Commemorative

After Henry VIII's request to divorce Catherine of Aragon was rejected by the Catholic Church, he decided to take matters into his own hands. He created the Church of England, with him as head he was able to grant himself a divorce and marked the start of radical changes in England's relationship with religion. 

A stained glass window featuring Henry VIII can be seen in full colour on the reverse of this 24-carat gold plated commemorative. The reverse is truly unique as it features a real ruby centred on a Tudor Rose.
