Description

Now seen as one of the greatest victories of Elizabeth I, the Spanish Armanda consisted of a fleet of 130 Spanish ships whose purpose was to invade England. The Navy of England however was much more advanced, consisting of faster ships that could could easily take down those that didn't side with them.

Sir Frances Drake and Lord Charles Howard can both be seen in full colour on the reverse of this 24-carat gold plated commemorative. The obverse is truly unique as it features a real ruby centred on a Tudor Rose.

This regal commemorative is part of the Tudor Times Collection which showcases iconic events, people and symbols from this fascinating period of time.
