Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov (*22nd April 1870; †21st January 1924), better known by his alias Lenin, is considered the founder of the USSR.
Like hardly any other politician, he left his mark on the world at the beginning of the 20th century. In the last years of his life he laid the foundation for the political system of the Soviet Union.
This collection includes a 1 Ruble commemorative coin from the USSR minted on the occasion of his 100th birthday in 1970, a 500 Ruble banknote of the Russian Federation on which his portrait is depicted and a 1 Mark stamp from the German Democratic Republic issued in 1977 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the October Revolution in Russia.
