Wood Badge Commemorative - Gold

Heritage of the Scouts

This individual commemorative from our Scout Heritage Collection features the Wood Badge beads. The badge is awarded to adult scouts on completion of the scouting programme which teaches skills and methods of scouting. The concept of the beads originated from a necklace that Baden-Powell found in South Africa, 1888. He kept the necklace and awarded each participant of the first scouting programme in 1919 with a bead upon completion.

Produced under official Scouts license, the reverse of the commemorative is brought to life by the Wood Badge design. The obverse features the iconic Scouts logo.

The Wood Badge Commemorative is plated in 24-carat gold and produced exclusively by The Koin Club.
